2. Approval Process

All applications for Membership will be reviewd for approval by the Management Committee during the Management Committee Members monthly meeting (3rd Saturday of the month).

Membership subscription is payable by the member upon submitting the application on annual calendar basis. Any member in arrears of subscription for twelve consecutive months shall cease to be a member.

Individual Membership

Any person who has attained 16 years of age or above and is interested in Occupational Safety and Health can become a member.

Note: Lifetime Membership: As an active ordinary member for a minimum on five (5) consecutive years may apply. This type of membership is only offered by Management Committee to a member based on significant contribution in Occupational Safety and Health.

Honorary Membership

Any person based on his or her contribution to Occupational Safety and Health to the Society and Nation may offer by Management Committee Members only.

Services and Activities.

MSOSH continues to proactively organise educational programs for OSH practitioners especially for their members.

  • Conduct OSH courses, seminars, workshops and publish quarterly newsletters;
  • Maintain close contact with DOSH, SOCSO, NIOSH, BOMBA and MTUC;
  • Provide informatory services such as Safety and Health activities to other members and specialised subjects on OSH in the country;
  • Assisting members seeking clarification on prevailing OSH and other related legislations;
  • Interact with representatives of corporate members; and
  • Organizing MSOSH OSH Awards competition annually to recognize OSH performance and improvements of members and others.
